GET PARTY PERFECT THIS CHRISTMAS WITH KATE MOSS’ FESTIVE BEAUTY SECRETS
Add a touch of supermodel glamour to your Christmas party with Kate Moss’ festive beauty secrets, from metallic makeup and glistening
golden skin to ice and cucumber morning after remedies – here’s how the world’s most iconic supermodel nails party season.

On her makeup: “My beauty regime does change for Christmas parties. I wear more metallic and always a little bit more shimmer around Christmas.

I really like a red lip and glistening skin, it’s my failsafe party beauty look. It’s nice to have a neutral glowing face and eyes and then a stronger lip. For a pop of colour I use my hero red 001 Rimmel lipstick which is nice for lips.

On her skin: “I love using oils at night, they make you feel like your skin has been restored. I like going to Nichola Joss for facials - she does this facial massage for lymphatic drainage using Sanctuary Spa Wonder Oil Serum; it’s like getting a natural face-lift.

You can get away with a late night with a tan – it covers up a multitude of sins and it makes you look more defined. I use the St.Tropez Self Tan Luxe Dry Oil to give my skin a hint of colour and subtle shimmer
which is perfect for parties and looks great for a night out.

I also like to use the St.Tropez Skin Illuminators to get that extra glow for my skin. They can be used on the face and body to highlight skin and give a radiant glow.”

On her outfits:  “I love themes for parties, Jamie’s quite good at just going into his closest and coming out with an amazing outfit. I just like the whole process of dressing up, getting ready with the girls and seeing what everyone else has come up with. It’s fun when everyone makes an effort.”

On her morning after rescue regime: “If I wake up in the morning and look tired and puffy, I fill a sink with ice and cucumber and submerge my face. It instantly tightens everything making you feel and look instantly awake. I saw Joan Crawford do it in 'Mommie Dearest.'

I also like juicing as it gives you bright eyes with a bit of a twinkle and it keeps your hair shiny.”

GET THE LOOK: FRECKLE TAN TUTORIAL

The Freckle Tan created by Nichola Joss and St.Tropez team for the Preen by Thornton Bregazzi was the hot topic for most at LFW.

Here, Nichola Joss shares with us on how she created, what would be next seasons most talked about beauty trend!

'To tie in with the make up, we added just a breath of base colour to the body, then took the delicate dusting of freckles down from the face onto the chest, arms and legs,' said St.Tropez Global Tanning & Skin Finishing Expert, Nichola Joss.

Having added a light veil of colour all over the body with St.Tropez Instant Tan Lotion Light/Medium (£10.00), Nichola used an artist's paintbrush to spatter St.Tropez Self Tan Dark Mousse (£33.00) over the top to set off the flashes of neon in the collection and give the girls a long-lasting sun-tickled look like they'd spent the day at the beach.

Follow our STEP BY STEP Tutorial on how to recreate the Freckle Tan:

Step 1: Apply St.Tropez Instant Tan Lotion Light/Medium (£10.00) all over the body and buff it into the skin using the St.Tropez Applicator Mitt (£3.57).

Step 2  Pump St.Tropez Self Tan Dark Mousse (£33.00) into the lid.

Step 3:Dip a large round paintbrush into the lid then spatter it gently over shoulders, arms and legs for a natural dusting of sun-soaked freckles.

LONDON FASHION WEEK SHOWS – ST. TROPEZ CREATES A GLOW FOR THE CATWALK

London Fashion Week Shows – St. Tropez creates a glow for the catwalk

Weekends are usually meant for relaxing, sitting back and forgetting about work. But for the St. Tropez tanning team it was all go during London Fashion Week. On Saturday and Sunday St. Tropez had five shows to attend. Working tirelessly backstage Nichola Joss led her team to create five incredible looks to showcase the SS15 season’s trends. Read on for more details….

The Mermaid Gleam at Julien Macdonald

Nichola Joss  at LFW

We expect a glitzy affair from a Julien Macdonald collection and for his SS15 show fashion followers weren’t disappointed. The inspiration for the collection was ‘under the sea’ and his designs held an ethereal charm. Models paraded down the catwalk in delicate fabrics and detailed bridal wear that were whimsical and floaty with shimmery hues and sparkling sequins.

To complement the overall look St Tropez created the ‘SS15 Mermaid Gleam’ look. Using the Self Tan Luxe Dry Oil and the new Self Tan Face Oil (which launches in March 2015), Nichola Joss and the St. Tropez team created a caramel glow to give the girls an otherworldly beauty. The result was magical – think A Midsummer Night’s Dream meets The Little Mermaid.

The Woodstock Glow at House of Holland

Designer Henry Holland’s muse for his SS15 collection was the hippy-dippy festival goer. This may come as no surprise as his usual front row (frow) crowd, loyal friends and fashion inspirations include party ‘It’ girls Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof and Rita Ora. Key pieces included oversized applique flowers and paisley shapes, suede fringing and sequins.

Henry Holland ss15 Beauty Trend

To create that sun-soaked festival chic look, St Tropez created the ‘Woodstock Glow’ by applying a layer or two of the Instant Tan Lotion in Medium/Dark. Just before the girls hit the runway the tanning team dusted the girls down with the Powder Bronzer Matte to create the caramel latte look of a fun loving traveller on the road.

With a full day of catwalk shows there was no rest for the fashion wicked on Sunday.

St. Tropez, especially, had a busy schedule (read more on our London Fashion Week News Hub)with three shows to work on. Luckily global tanning and skin finishing Ambassador Nichola Joss was on hand with her applicator mitt and team of tanners to get the models gleaming for their runway performances…

The Fashion Freckle Tan at Preen

Dynamic designer duo Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi are known for their stand out collections and for SS15 they delivered a standout show. Their dresses featured some brilliantly pleasing lines using bold colours and zigzag stripes. Key pieces included colourful beading which added a touch of the carnival spirit while accessories had a sporty detail to them.

There’s a beauty trick in the fashion world to looking young and St. Tropez made sure to use the method - a face full of fake freckles. While the make-up team worked on the models’ faces, Nichola Joss set to work on crating body freckles using an innovative flick brush technique.

Preen SS15

To create a natural smattering of freckles over the arms, chest and shoulders all it took was an acrylic paintbrush dipped in a wash-of dark tan and a flick with the bristles motion towards the skin.

The Tectonic Tan at Mary Katrantzou

Mary Katrantzou’s beautiful collection was inspired by memories, dreams and reflections of the flora and fauna of the land and sea. The opposing fabrics on her garments resembled the tectonic plates and embroidered across them were surreal illustrations from the artist’s creative imagination: squiggles of seaweed and snakes. Dance and fantasy also played a huge part in inspiring the embellished designs with hybrid creatures: part dodo, part cancan dancer and part crab and part ballerina stitched across the garments.

St.Tropez took inspiration from the tectonic representation and created the ‘Tectonic Tan’ to compliment Mary Katrantzou’s collection. Mixing together the Instant Tan Lotion Light/Medium with the Tan Enhancing Body Moisturiser St. Tropez gave the models a healthy all over glow that represented the natural elements.

The Street Chic Tan at David Koma

Sexy shapes and body-con silhouettes are what we’ve come to expect from David Koma. For SS15 he showcased his debut collection for Thierry Mugler as artistic director which proved the label and designer are a fashion fit. The garments showcased on the runway were soft, supple and sleek. Thigh-skimming skirts with sheer fabric and lemon hued panels and tops with asymmetric necklines and jewel detailing represented a modern Parisian street style with a chic, tailored twist.

As the last show to tan, St. Tropez wanted to create a stunning gleam on the models. Using the Instant Tan lotion the tanning team pulled off the Parisian luxe skin look which was enhanced by the all-white, monochrome and gem encrusted garments.

LONDON FASHION WEEK – THE HIGHLIGHTS FROM BACKSTAGE AND THE FROW

London Fashion Week – The highlights from backstage and the frow

At London Fashion Week, all eyes are equally on the front row as they are on the models showcasing the new season’s designs (follow them on our London Fashion Week News Hub). The number of high profile people, from celebrities to fashion insiders, on the guest list is longer than the actual catwalk and they’ve hot-footed it around town to head to shows and see the latest fashion trends. Here there are our highlights:

The show: Julien Macdonald

The Frow: Abbey Clancy showed up in a flesh flashing fringed frock while Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh was a true lady in red (both dresses were by Julien Macdonald). The latter’s co-star Rosie Fotescue also turned up wearing a laser cut dress by the designer. Other guests found in the frow included DJ and model Mary Charteris, presenter Laura Whitmore and Leah Weller (along with her pet pooch Nat).

Backstage: While the models were being made up, tanned and styled they, along with the backstage crew, had lunch on the go, courtesy of Itsu. Trays of California rolls, pots of edamame beans and bottles of water kept the team going throughout the afternoon.
